A double inhale through the nose followed by one long exhale. Stanford research identifies this as one of the most effective real-time stress reduction techniques available. Works in under 30 seconds.

In for four counts, out for eight. The longer exhale directly activates the vagal brake — slowing heart rate and reducing cortisol. Safe for use during pregnancy.

Mid last year, I walked away from a career that was slowly hollowing me out. Not because I had a plan — but because my body made it very clear that I couldn't keep going the way I was going.

In the stillness that followed, I found breathwork. That first proper session cracked something open in me. I realised I'd been living entirely from my head for years — completely disconnected from my body.

I went on to qualify as a breathwork instructor through Breathless. I built Inner Flow because I wanted to put everything I've learned into something anyone could access — at 2am, in the car, in those ten minutes between everything.
